How do I apply a model connection to an agent?

What are the steps?
Save a usable connection on the Models page. In Agent management, select the installation and model connection. Check the agent, configuration file path, and model name in the preview, then confirm with Apply and Reopen or the corresponding action. For a CLI, use the same user directory when launching; a custom directory may require the matching environment variable.
Why does the agent still show the old model after a successful write?
Agents commonly read configuration at startup. Quit and reopen the agent, and check that you launched the same desktop or CLI installation, user account, and configuration directory that was configured. Project settings or environment variables can take precedence over user-level settings; Lumoswitch does not override those higher-priority sources.
How should I recover from a failed configuration?
Check the path and stage named by the error, then verify that another app is not editing the file, the directory is writable, and the file format is valid. Do not repeatedly apply without rereading the preview. You can restore a manual configuration backup from the Agent menu; restore replaces the listed complete files, so review the affected paths first.
