How do desktop and CLI agents differ?
Choose a desktop app when you want a window, menus, and a graphical workspace. Choose a CLI when you start tools from a terminal or use scripts and development workflows. Some agents share configuration across these forms; others use separate directories, so do not assume settings sync automatically.
Can Lumoswitch detect agents already installed?
The app scans supported desktop applications and command-line installations for the current operating system and shows details such as type, source, version, or path. Discovery does not launch desktop apps. A sandboxed app can be discoverable without supporting managed configuration.
What if my agent is missing from the list?
Confirm that it is installed and has completed its first launch, then refresh discovery. For a CLI, check its common installation directory or PATH. If managed configuration is not supported, use the agent's official settings flow. Adding a path manually does not imply every management feature is available.
