Will Da Fei Yu memory be lost when I update Lumoswitch?
Understand how in-place updates, the same-account login, local backups, and deliberate deletion affect QQ memory.
Maintained by the 路墨 Lumoswitch product team
A normal in-place update preserves saved memory on the device; use the original account. Updates are neither cloud sync nor a way to undo deletion.
Does a normal update clear memory?
A normal in-place installation reuses the app data path on the current device, so saved QQ configuration and memory are retained. Sign in with the original Lumoswitch account after updating; data is isolated between accounts. Local automatic backups can help with some data corruption but are not cloud sync across devices.
What should I avoid before and after updating?
Do not clear Lumoswitch app data or delete its local files during an update; memory backups are on the current computer. Unsaved edits, temporary group context, and Bilibili login state are not included in memory backups. If moving to another computer, do not assume memory migrates automatically; check the data-management instructions available in your app.
Can a backup restore something I deleted by mistake?
Not reliably. Backups are for data-corruption recovery and are updated after explicit deletion or clearing; they are not historical undo versions. Clearing recent conversation does not clear relationship or fixed memory. If the same information exists in multiple types, manage each separately. After updating, check any recovery notice and memory counts; do not repeat a deletion when its completion is uncertain.
