路墨 Lumoswitch
Installing Skills

What should I do when a Skill conflicts or is incompatible?

Use the installation review to check Skill files, the target directory, and agent compatibility.

Short answer

Do not bypass conflict checks; verify the target agent and directory, back up existing content, then decide whether to replace it or choose a compatible Skill.

What if the review reports a name or directory conflict?

Open the review details and identify the target path and owner of the existing content. Avoid editing the same files elsewhere at the same time or deleting a directory that another agent may use. If you decide to replace it, follow the app's overwrite confirmation and recovery flow, and back up anything you need to keep.

Does an incompatibility warning mean the installer is broken?

Not necessarily. The Skill may declare an unsupported agent, platform, or dynamic tool setting; older community content may also be preview-only. Read the declarations and supported scope shown in the review and choose a compatible resource. The app preserves Skill files; it does not translate them for another agent.

How do I continue after an interrupted install?

Wait for the transaction or recovery state shown by the app, then reopen Skills management to inspect the actual installation record. Deployment verifies files and uses a recovery journal to protect the destination. If an external change is detected, preserve the evidence and follow the prompt instead of manually deleting recovery files. Share a redacted error and path with support if needed.
